My name, as it may be evident from the blog name, is Rob. I am a older gentleman living in a small town with my soulmate/best friend wifey of several years. We have several fur kids and plants, which make us happy. I love to explore knowledge and expand my views on topics. I guess this is why I have a love of books, movies, and music so much. I have played Dungeons and Dragons for so many years when I started the game was on 8.5×11 paper folded in half and stapled and hard to come by. From there I have played, DM’d, wrote campaigns, tested modules for Wizards of the Coast, worked on digitizing multiple resource materials, and just expanded my D&D empire over the years. I still have a ton of the hard copy books from over the years, but over the years the majority of my collection has been turned into digital formats.. either by  collecting them or actually scanning the hard copy books into my computer myself. Over the years I have worked to barrow books from several people, even if that meant borrowing them via postal carrier just to scan them in… all this being done prior to the full onslaught of the digitizing to PDF of the mass info nowadays.  I used to collect comic books until funds and space to store them were a question. My current collection contains over 5,000 comics in my library room. I love movies of all types and I have been referred to as a Movie Encyclopedia humorously sometimes. My love of movies lead me to being a part of management for our local Blockbuster before it closed down. Oh those were a fun several years! Being the son of a Industrial Arts/Engineering teacher of 40 years I was exposed to a ton of crafts and trades. I guess this is where my love of wood working and carving came from, thanks dad! I love all things 80’s and am a avid retro game lover. I have several game consoles and games. My crowning gem is my original Atari 2600 I got when it first came out that still runs like a top. I have over 90 games for the console that I love to randomly enjoy playing for hours. Aside from this there are several other aspects of me hobby, view, collecting, and randomness wise…. but that may be for another day.
